Blueberry Shortcake

Ingredients:

  1. 1 whole - layer cake
  2. 4 cups - fresh or frozen blueberries
  3. 1/4 teaspoons - almond flavoring
  4. - whipped cream

Directions:

If berries are frozen, microwave them on defrost setting for five minutes or until defrosted. Berries will remain plump. Add almond flavoring to the blueberries. Slice layer cake in half; alternate layers of cake, whipped cream, and berries. Cake can be prepared in advance as it keeps nicely.
