    Asian Variation: Add 3 tablespoons soy sauce and 1 teaspoon toasted sesame seed. Indian Variation: Add 1 tablespoon curry powder. Southwestern Variation: Add 1 tablespoon chili powder.

Ingredients:

  1. 20 ounces - pineapple slices
  2. 1/2 cups - brown sugar
  3. 2 teaspoons - cornstarch
  4. 5 slices - country ham, 1/2" thick
  5. 1/3 cups - prepared yellow mustard
  6. 1/4 teaspoons - ground cloves
  7. 2 teaspoons - margarine

Directions:

Drain pineapple slices, reserving juice. Combine reserved juice, brown sugar, mustard, cornstarch and cloves in medium saucepan; stir until blended. Cook, stirring constantly, until sauce boils and thickens. Add pineapple slices. Heat through.

Cook ham in margarine. Serve with sauce.
