    Mix toor dal, moong dal, chana dal, urad dal, chora dal, jowar and bajari with rice. Rice should be in equal proportion to combination of everything else. Soak for 5 to 6 hours.

Ingredients:

  1. 2 cups - Dal Rice Mixer See Notes
  2. 2 tablespoons - Curd
  3. 2 tablespoons - Ginger Garlic Chili Paste
  4. - Salt To Taste
  5. 1 teaspoons - Chili Powder
  6. 1/2 teaspoons - Turmeric Powder
  7. pinchs - Asafoetida
  8. 2 teaspoons - Jaggery
  9. 2 tablespoons - Oil
  10. 1/4 teaspoons - Eating Soda
  11. 1/2 cups - Deshi Chana
  12. - Khatu Athanu For Serving
  13. - Green Chutney For Serving
  14. - Oil For Serving

Directions:

In a mixer jar, take the dal mixer, curd and crush them.
Now mix ginger garlic paste, salt, chili powder, turmeric powder, asafoetida, jaggery and mix them. Now rest them for 5 to 6 hours until fermented.

Now in a tempering pan, heat oil and mix them with soda in the batter. Add chana and mix them.

Now in vadna pan, make a cone, add a chana at the bottom and add batter and again chana and steam the cones upright. Steam for 20 to 25 minutes.

Serve hot.
