Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoons - Fennel Seeds
- 1 tablespoons - Coriander Seeds
- 1 tablespoons - Cumin Seeds
- 1 teaspoons - Cloves
- 1 teaspoons - Black Peppercorns
- 1 leaves - Bayleaf
- 1 tablespoons - Chili Powder
- 1 teaspoons - Turmeric Powder
- 1 pieces - Ginger
- 15 pieces - Garlic
- 2 pieces - Green Chilies
- 1 tablespoons - Fried Onions
- - Water As Required
- 4 tablespoons - Oil
- 1 tablespoons - Ghee
- 100 grams - Curd
- 500 grams - Potatoes Boil, make holes with fork and fried til golden brown.
- - Salt To Taste
- 1 cups - Water
- 500 grams - Rice Parboiled, add khada masala, salt, oil and lemon juice while boiling
- 1/4 cups - Fried Onions
- 1/4 cups - Coriander

Directions:
Spice Mix
Toast the Fennel, coriander and cumin seeds on medium flame til fragrant.
Let them cool down.
Add cloves and peppercorns, bayleaf, chili powder, turmeric powder and grind them til powdered.
Now, add ginger, garlic, green chilies and fried onions and grind again.
Now add water and grind til smooth paste.
For Biryani
Heat oil and ghee in a pan.
While it is beginning to heat, add the spice paste and curd. (Make sure oil is not hot as curd will begin to split). Cook on moderate flame.
Now add potatoes, salt and water.
Now, on high flame cook the potatoes til 10 to 15 minutes.
Afterwards, turn heat to low. (the oil should have risen to top)
Add rice, fried onions and coriander.
Cook on dum til 15 to 20 minutes.
Serve Hot.
