Easy Beef Stuffed Peppers

Ingredients:

  1. 4 - medium green, red or yellow bell peppers
  2. 1 pounds - lean ground beef
  3. 3/4 cups - chopped onion
  4. 1/4 cups - uncooked white rice
  5. 3 tablespoons - ketchup
  6. 1/2 teaspoons - dried oregano leaves
  7. 14 1/2 ounces - Italian-style stewed tomatoes, undrained
  8. 1 tablespoons - ketchup
  9. 1/2 teaspoons - dried oregano leaves

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350° F.

Cut tops off bell peppers and remove seeds. In a large bowl, combine filling ingredients, salt and pepper, mixing lightly but thoroughly. Spoon equal amount of filling into each pepper and place in 8" x 8" baking dish.

Combine sauce ingredients and pour over peppers. Cover dish tightly with aluminum foil. Bake for 1-1/2 hours. Serve warm or at room temperature.
