Sweet and sour meatballs

Ingredients:

  1. 2 slices - Bread
  2. 1/2 cups - Milk
  3. 1 1/4 pounds - Ground Beef Chuck
  4. 1/4 cups - Onion finely chopped
  5. 1 cloves - Garlic minced
  6. 2 tablespoons - Soy Sauce
  7. 1/4 teaspoons - Allspice
  8. 1/4 teaspoons - Nutmeg
  9. 1/4 teaspoons - Pepper
  10. 1 - Egg slightly beaten
  11. 1 tablespoons - Oil
  12. 19 ounces - Sweet and Sour Stir-fry Entree 1 box
  13. 2 teaspoons - Cider Vinegar
  14. - Carrot curls optional garnish
  15. - Green Onion Fringes optional garnish

Directions:

Combine bread and milk, breaking bread with fork. Add chuck; mix well. Add onion, garlic, soy sauce, allspice, nutmeg, pepper and egg. Mix lightly; shape into 30 meatballs.

Heat oil in large skillet; cook half the meatballs until browned. Remove to warm plate; cook remaining meatballs. Pour off drippings. Add glaze mix from entree and 1/4 cup water to skillet. Cook, stirring, until glaze thickens. Add meatballs and cook until well-glazed, stirring occasionally. Add sweet and sour sauce from entree and vinegar; heat.

Place in serving dish and garnish with carrot curls and green onions, if you like.
