Sweet & Sour Pickles

Ingredients:

  1. 1 gallons - Sour pickles
  2. 4 cups - sugar
  3. 1 jars - Tabasco
  4. - Dried Garlic

Directions:

Pour pickles from jar into a collander and drain. Save the jar.
slice pickles in 1/4 inch slices.
Refill the gallon jar in layers as follows:
2 inches of pickles
enough sugar to cover the pickles - don't be stingy
about 6 shakes of Tabasco
sprinkle dried garlic over

Repeat the layers until the jar is filled and you have used all the pickles. You may have to thump the jar on your counter, but be don't do it too hard or it will splash out and make a mess.
Put saran wrap over top of jar and screw the lid down tight.
Put into the fridge, right side up, the first day. On the second day, invert the jar. Repeat until the suger is all gone.
